Week 1: Introduction to Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain Technology
  • Module 1 (Lesson 1-2): Definition of cryptocurrencies and their role in the modern economy. Overview of the basic principles of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
  • Practical session: Creating a cryptocurrency wallet and sending/receiving transactions.
Week 2: History of cryptocurrencies and key events
  • Module 2 (Lessons 3-4): Overview of the history of cryptocurrencies since the emergence of Bitcoin. Key events in the history of cryptocurrencies and their impact on the market.
  • Practical session: Analysis and discussion of historical data on cryptocurrency prices.
Week 3: Cryptocurrency Investing Basics
  • Module 3 (Lessons 5-6): Overview of different types of cryptocurrencies and their features. Methods of market analysis: technical, fundamental, sentimental analysis.
  • Practical lesson: Developing an investment strategy and testing it on historical data.
Week 4: Trading on Cryptocurrency Exchanges
  • Module 4 (Lesson 7-8): Registration on cryptocurrency exchanges and basic functions of trading platforms. Basics of order and market execution of transactions on the exchange.
  • Practical lesson: Trading on a demo account using orders and analysing the results.
Week 5: Technical Analysis and Security of Cryptocurrencies
  • Module 5 (Lessons 9-10): Fundamentals of technical analysis of price charts and the use of indicators. Cryptocurrency storage methods: cold and hot wallets, multi-signature wallets.
  • Practical exercise: Creating your own cold wallet and making a transaction.
Week 6: Protection and Legal Aspects
  • Module 6 (Lessons 11-12): Defence against cyberattacks and hacker attacks. Security rules when working with cryptocurrencies and exchangers. Overview of cryptocurrency legislation in different countries.
  • Practical training: Application of methods of wallet protection from cyberattacks and analysis of legal aspects using cases from real practice.
Each lecture can last about 1.5 hours, which gives plenty of time for students to study each topic and discuss the issues.
